In this one-day workshop, you will create a pinch pot planter with drainage saucer perfect for a small plant/succulent. Add textures, 3D elements, or holes to convert to a hanging planter! You can opt to add a handle to create a mug or pencil cup using these same techniques.
The instructor, Stephanie Sherman, will guide you through the basics of creating a quality pinch pot and show you how to sculpt flowers, leaves, and other Frida Kahlo-inspired springtime forms to add to your vessel. Your own theme/ideas are encouraged as well.
All tools and materials are included: stoneware clay, a variety of letter and texture stamps, and colored underglazes.
Just bring your creativity!
Pieces will be left to dry, dipped in clear or white glaze, and fired twice in a kiln.
